I'd like you to get to know me a little...

As a full time Realtor since 1979, I have the experience and the knowledge to assist buyers and sellers move both in town and relocating from other areas. As a former teacher, I believe in education for the children in school now and for myself to keep up with this rapidly changing world. I am a graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in art education and a Masters in Special Ed from the University of So Alabama. I have continued with my quest for knowledge by earning my Broker's license and many designations. I am an Accredited Buyer's Agent, ABR, a Certified Residential Specialist, CRS, (there are only 3-5 % of all agents in the country with this one), Graduate of the Realtor's Institute, GRI, and  completed the requirements for the Internet Professional designation of ePro in December  of 2006. In 2007 I became a SRES..Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

A Deacon, I'm an active member and a Deacon at Hope Presbyterian Church and in leadership with the adult singles. As an avid U of Memphis Basketball fan, I don't miss a game! We made it to the Elite Eight in 2006 and 2007!! We were number ONE in the nation for 5 weeks in the 2007-2008 season! We have a new young coach in Josh Pastner who is inspiring character and confidence in his young team. We did much better than anyone dreamed in 2009-10, and we have one of the top recruiting classes for 2010-11!!

March Madness 2009 in Memphis! Go Tigers!!
Our three seniors have broken the record for the most games EVER played in for NCAA history! Our winning streak of 27 is the longest in NCAA this year. Unfortunately, we only got as far as the Sweet Sixteen and then had to find a new coach. We are pleased with the selection of Josh Pastner as the new coach...he's young, but has an amazing amount of experience...he's cute too! He's a good speaker and has done some great recruiting too! We have one of the best recruiting classes for 2010-2011! Now it's Tiger Basketball 2009-2010!! Tiger basketball hasn't been as "winning" a team as in years past, but they have done pretty well. We tied with the Kentucky team of the 1950's for the most consecutive wins in their Conference this year! And have a pretty good chance of winning the Conference USA tournament. The Tournament is this week!!

I also love keeping and doing things with my two grandsons, Brooks, 14 years, in July and his little brother, Brendan, who was 7 years old on April 30. This was taken at Christmas with my daughter, Deenie.
My boys play all the sports! I go to most of their games and swim meets. Even the little one ran his first 5K in the Pumpkin Run in October of '08 in an incredible 32 minutes! (At least I thought it was incredible!) They love Tiger basketball too...know all the players and their stats! Brendan asked for a "sleeve" like Roburt Sallie (a Tiger basketball player) wears for Christmas. 2009  Now he wears his sleeve during his games! Brooks is a straight A student too! They both like golf too.

In my "spare" time I do a lot of volunteer work as a Board member for Martha's Manor, a day program for mentally challenged ladies. I'm on the Special Events Committee with the Ronald McDonald House. In June of 2010 I was chosen as the Special Events volunteer of the Year for the Ronald McDonald House. I've been in charge of face painting for the Big Scoop, an ice cream festival fun raiser for the House, for 17 years!  As a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Alumnae association I have been involved with the Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament for the past 22 years.  In 2008 Harrah's in Tunica, MS was the gold sponsor and a great host for the event. Ronald himself came to kick off the tournament! Here I am with Ronald and Caron Byrd, the Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis. The House was built to offer the families of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital a home away from home. This is one of the few Houses where the patients are at the House most of the time, unless going to St Jude's for their out-patient treatments.  I like to paint watercolors and do scrap booking. I also do the clay relief work for custom state, county and city Seals. In February of 2006 I did a Seal for the state of North Carolina's newly remodeled Legislative hall. It's 6 feet in diameter!! And ask me about my month long adventure to Nepal, Zimbabwe, Australia and New Zealand in October 2005!  Edited0453.jpg
